I Finally Started School

Yesterday was my first official day of school.  It was orientation, so, meet and greet, free food, reviewing handbooks, getting lost, etc.  I left pretty early in the morning, earlier even than Grandma typically wakes up, but not this morning.  Oh no.  This was as good as, if not better than, kindergarten... only we were drinking coffee.

I'm using a bike to get back and forth between our house and the station, so after I pulled the bike out of the garage and fastened the basket on and got ready to go, there was Grandma teetering in the driveway (in her ROBE!) with a camera.  She was SO excited!  I made her take a picture with my phone, too:

I'm pretty damn fancy, if I do say so myself.

In addition to getting up way earlier than she needs to, Grandma has been waiting up for me to get home.  It's not that I'm getting back very late, she just goes to bed really early.  Tonight I came home and there was something really random on the TV, and she was asleep on the couch.  She had rollers in her hair, and some on the floor.

She listened to me babble on as attentively as she could before she made me take out the trash, and the recycling.

  1. That's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Where's your lunch box and new Lisa Frank trapper keeper on your first day of school?
